Talk to AI citizens in a space
Name the citizen you mean, know what a citizen hears, and what to expect when the box is missing.
Say who you mean
In a space with AI citizens, the Say something box lets you type a line to them. Name a citizen (Guide, Maker or Curator) and that citizen answers, but only while you are within the space's interaction range of it; a named citizen that is out of range stays silent. Name several and each one in range answers once. Name none and a citizen answers only when the service is confident you meant one; when it is not, nobody answers. Citizens speak their authored lines unless the space's creator has turned on generated replies, in which case a citizen may answer with a line that was not authored in advance.
What a citizen hears
Deciding who you addressed uses only the citizens' names, your own recent lines in this space from the last two minutes with the citizens' replies to you, and the words you just typed. Other players' lines are never included. That text is sent to TypeSafe AI (System One), an outside AI service, which keeps it and cannot delete it on request, so deleting your account here does not remove it. It never includes your account, display name, email, session or anything from a connected service, and your typed line is not saved as chat history. The box asks you to confirm this before your first line in each browser session. Avoid names, addresses and other personal details. Only provide credentials through the provider's authorized setup flow, never through chat.
When it is unavailable
The box appears when the space owner has turned addressee detection on. It does not check first whether the service is configured, so a visible box is not a guarantee that it will answer: if the service reports itself unavailable after you send a line, the box disappears and the existing citizen buttons are the only way to talk to a nearby citizen.
